MANDEL JCC OF THE PALM BEACHES NAMES JESSE ROSEN AS ITS NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (September 20, 2019) – The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches announced today the appointment of Jesse Rosen to President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Rosen, who joins the Mandel JCC after serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Milwaukee JCC, brings a wealth of vital experience, including a vision for creating dynamic experiences that connect people to Jewish life and a track record for implementing effective membership growth strategies, as well as innovative and engaging programming initiatives.

Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches boasts more than 350 staff among its two campuses – in Boynton Beach and Palm Beach Gardens – both of which house an expansive early childhood learning center, summer day camp, and hundreds of programs, classes and cultural events for adults, children, families, and those with special needs.

"After considering more than 200 candidates from around the country, we are confident that we have found the right professional leader to take the Mandel JCC into the future as we continue to build a world-class JCC to serve our rapidly growing and changing Jewish community," shared Barry S. Berg, Chair of the Mandel JCC Board of Directors. "We have been incredibly impressed with Jesse's experience, his reputation for creativity, his entrepreneurial spirit and his warm and engaging personality. We are encouraged by his ability to quickly identify several areas where we can capitalize on our current strengths.”

While in Milwaukee, Jesse also served for three years as the Director of the Milwaukee JCC Maccabi Games, an Olympic style summer sports festival for more than 1,000 athletes from around the world. Prior to entering the JCC world, Jesse worked for the White House as an Advance Associate for the President and held key leadership roles in public service, political campaigns, and large-scale special events.

In 2017, Rosen was chosen as a Fellow of the first cohort of the prestigious Mandel Foundation Executive Leadership Program – a selective program which cultivates the most senior Jewish community professionals of the future. He is also an FAA licensed private pilot with over 600 hours of flying time.

“I see such incredible opportunity in this vibrant Jewish community to ensure the Mandel JCC remains the center of engagement and activity for a thriving Jewish community today, and well into the future,” shared Rosen. “I’ve been meeting so many talented, enthusiastic individuals at the JCC and throughout the community. I’m so excited to work with the entire team at the JCC as well as at Federation, our partner agencies, synagogues and broader community organizations to ensure we go above and beyond to meet the needs of everyone we serve.”

The Mandel JCC has two locations: in Palm Beach Gardens at 5221 Hood Road and in Boynton Beach at 8500 Jog Road. For more information about JCC programs and services at both locations, visit www.JCConline.com.
