Director of Arts & Culture

The Director of Arts & Culture has the opportunity to set the vision and operational plan for the Mandel JCC Cultural Arts programs. The Director will empowered to make decisions that blend and balance mission fulfillment, community demand for entertainment/learning opportunities and financial sustainability. The role’s day-to-day responsibilities are to manage regular, ongoing department needs, which includes oversight of year-round book festival events, The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival, and ad-hoc cultural arts programming.

Building Services Support

Perform event set-up and upkeep of the Palm Beach Gardens campus, including routine activities such as light cleaning, event set-up, light maintenance working under the supervision of the Building Services Manager.Work schedule is generally 20 hours during each work week Sunday - Saturday as directed by work schedule and deadlines.

Lifeguard & Water Safety Instructor

The Mandel Jewish Community Center of the Palm Beaches is seeking a Lifeguard & Water Safety Instructor. Primary responsibilities include supervision of members and guests, swim lesson development and execution, cleaning, policy enforcement, program and event set up/break down and various other duties associated with the aquatic complex operations.

Managing Director

This is an advanced management position requiring independent judgment, initiative, strong interpersonal skills and advanced administrative skills. The Managing Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the Mandel JCC, Boynton Beach programs and informal Judaic activities, projects and ambiance and should be able to integrate concepts of Judaic programming within all agency departments, programs, activities and services. The Managing Director will need to be creative in developing and evaluating programs, services and activities as well as providing strong leadership and supervision to staff. This position will the Executive leader of the Boynton Beach agency branch and be a member of the Agency’s Senior Management Team.

Membership Associate

This position is responsible for providing membership, program, class and event information to members and prospective members, greeting and assisting members and guests, as well as handling all incoming telephone calls, incoming and outgoing packages and mail. The Membership Associate is the first staff representative seen or heard at the Mandel JCC and must have strong customer service skills and be reliable and punctual. Work schedule is generally 40 hours during each work week Sunday - Saturday with evening or weekend work as directed by work schedule, programs and deadlines.

Palm Beach Gardens Open Positions

Preschool Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for working with the Lead Teacher in their assigned class of children in planning and implementing the curriculum, working with parents, and assessing the needs of individual children under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and Director of Early Learning. The curriculum must meet the emotional, physical, cognitive & social needs for both the individual child and the group. Work is supervised by the Lead Teacher and Early Childhood Director on a limited basis, as necessary. Work schedule is generally full-time 30 - 40 hours during each work week Monday – Friday or part-time, less than 30 hours during each work week Monday – Friday, during the months of August – June each school year.
