Camp Shalom Week 9
Camp Shalom families,
That’s a wrap on Summer 2022! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gifts, your children. We could not have asked for a more spirited, fun, warm and caring group this summer and we are truly grateful. The final days this week brought many lasting memories to a close. We shared one last Mitzvah project together by packing all of the donated school supplies to The Soup Kitchen of Boynton Beach. These donations will help children begin their school year with the tools they need, thanks to you!
Our final field trip day on Tuesday was epic (as the campers would say)! Blue Pirate Adventures allowed many of our Kesher campers to return to camp with buried treasure and saying Aargh! It was a shame the other half of Kesher missed the pirate ship due to weather, but they had a great time seeing the new Minions movie! And Dave and Buster was so much fun for our upper campers. They returned to camp with great prizes and said they LOVED the buffet lunch!
It was super cool seeing our groups and units come together on Group Unity Dress up day on Wednesday. Everyone looked great! Thursday’s carnival day was the best! Campers and staff loved the rides, racing game, giant inflatables and a special thank you to all our staff who braved the dunk tank!! We appreciate you!
The last day today was filled with so many emotions. Groups spent time at their pool parties, visiting their favorite specialists one last time, and simply being together. We shared our final Shabbat of the summer this afternoon and were so happy to sing Camp Shalom favorites such as “The Hope” and “Seasons of Love” together with our arms around our camp friends. We ended Shabbat with our beautiful end of the summer slide show, compiled by Diane, our amazing photographer! Thank you so much, Diane! At the end of the day, there were many tears and hugs to close out a wonderful summer.
We always tell our friends, it’s not goodbye, but we will see you very soon. We hope many of our friends will join us during the school year for Club J aftercare, School’s Out Days, Vacation camps, enrichments and family programs. Nothing is better than re-uniting with camp friends during the school year! Be sure to look out for emails for these programs.
Please enjoy our end of the summer slide show here and ask your campers all about the photos! Camp Shalom Slide Show 2022 >>
**The lost and found will be on display until next week. Please call the office if you would like to look for any missing items.
Once again, thank you for sharing your children and families with us this summer. We wish you all a restful remainder of the summer and everyone a safe, healthy and successful school year.
