Description

Gustav Klimt is an Austrian painter notorious for his paintings of The Lady in Gold and The Kiss. Klimt loved to paint cultured women, most of which were from the period’s elitist Jewish families. It is said that Klimt would work his magnetism on many of the women who sought their portraits. This visually enhanced presentation will introduce you to the world of The Lady in Gold and explore Klimt’s mixture of eclecticism and fantastic elegance against the stylized works and biography of this transformative artist. (Part one of a two-part program)
