Description
Not all carbohydrates are bad and some fats are better than others. Carbohydrates have a bad name, but our brain needs approximately 180 grams or 6 ounces of glucose per 24 hours to provide the energy for all brain activity. How can we supply our brain with 7.5 grams per hour without getting fat? Almost all other tissues of our body prefer to use fatty acids from fats as energy sources. Some of these fatty acids have additional functions in membranes and as signal molecules and that makes them better. Learn that artificial 'trans' fats are bad.
