Hey Camp Shalom families!

Can you believe it? We are 89 days until the start of the best summer yet! We can’t wait to have all of our new and returning campers together for Camp Shalom Summer 2022! If you are new to us, welcome! We are excited for you to become a part of our traditions and help us build new ones! If you are returning, we are grateful for you and are excited to re-unite with our campers!

In the coming weeks and months, stay tuned for lots of communications from us about camp details and events. In the meantime, we want to share some updates with you:

• We are eager to announce the return of our Shlichim program this summer! Camp Shalom is bringing volunteer specialists from Israel, known as SHLICHIM (emissaries). These young and talented individuals will be here for the summer as part of our camp staff and community; working with our staff, children and community to bring Israel a little closer to us all. Please see the attached flyer about how you can host one of these individuals in your home this summer!
• Field trips are back! Campers entering 2nd & 3rd grades in the fall will experience a field trip every other week and those entering 4th – 8th grades will travel once per week. Don’t worry, our youngest campers will have the experiences brought to them! In-house field trips and shows are part of the program for our entering K – 1st graders and Tikvah campers.
• Save the Date: Camp Shalom Family Day – Sunday, May 1 from 12:30 – 4:00pm. Come spend the day with camp leadership and staff and experience camp with your children! This will be a fun day of swimming, inflatables, and exciting camp activities all to raise money for our programs
• Save the Date: First Time Camper Info Session – Wednesday, May 25 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. First time campers entering Kindergarten and First grade are invited to join us with their families to play at camp while their families have their questions answered about upper camp!
• Spring Break is coming soon! We invite all campers currently in K – 5th grades to join us for a taste of summer. See the fun theme days and trips planned and register here: https://bb.jcconline.com/programs/children/schools_out/ Limited spaces are available.
